What
is Lymph edema?
It is an impairment of the
lymphatic system, in which proteins and fluids are not appropriately
drained and can lead to several complications of diverse severity.
This condition exists congenitally, following surgery, and/or
radiation therapy.
What can the Lymph edema
Therapist do?
Management of Lymph edema
consists of a combination of manual lymph drainage, multilayered
bandaging, family and patient education regarding etiology and
management for chronic conditions.
